s/w-Lithographie, mit blauer und gelber Fettkreide zart überarbeitet bzw. getönt / dünnes, festes, gelbliches Kupferdruckpapier, signiert, betitelt "Badende im Schilf" und bezeichnet "No. I"; 32,6 x 43,3 auf 41 x 51,6 cm. Die Ränder unregelmäßig beschnitten, lichtrandig. Vergleiche Karsch 44. Karsch nennt für diese Lithographie nur 3 bekannte Exemplare, das vorliegende Exemplar mit der Übermalung und die abweichende Titelgebung ist im WV nicht erwähnt. Provenienz: Karl & Faber Kunstauktionen, München, Auktion vom 31.05.1995, Lot 787; Privatsammlung, Düsseldorf. Im Versteigerungskatalog bei Karl & Faber wie folgt beschrieben "Laut freundlicher Auskunft von Florian Karsch handelt es sich hierbei um einen von nur 4 bekannten Exemplaren des II. Zustandes. Vom I. Zustand ist bisher ein einziger Druck bekannt. K. nennt im Werkverzeichnis nur "drei bekannte Exemplare (von ca. 8)". Unterhalb der Darstellung wohl von Maschka Mueller mit Bildunterschrift "Badende im Schilf" und "No. I" sowie Signatur versehen…"
b/w lithography, delicately reworked and tinted with blue and yellow grease crayon / thin, firm, yellowish copperplate paper, signed, titled "Badende im Schilf" and inscribed "No. I"; 32,6 by 43,3 on 41 by 51,6 cm (12,83'' by 17,05'' on 16,14'' by 20,31''). The margins irregularly trimmed, light-stain. Compare Catalogue raisonnée Karsch 44. Karsch mentions only 3 known prints for this lithography, the present print with the overpainting and the deviating titling is not mentioned in the Catalogue raisonnée. Provenance: Karl & Faber Kunstauktionen, Munich, auction of 31 May 1995, lot 787; private collection, Düsseldorf. Described as follows in the Karl & Faber auction catalogue "According to kind information from Florian Karsch, this is one of only 4 known examples of the second state. Only one print of the first state is known to date. K. only mentions "three known prints (of approx. 8)" in the catalogue raisonnée. Captioned "Badende im Schilf" and "No. I" and signed below the image, probably by Maschka Mueller…"
